A Post In Three Acts

Act 1.
I want to share something extremely personal and close to my heart in hopes that a few of you out there might feel compelled to donate to an extremely worthy cause. I won't go into the long details {you can read more about our journey on my Hubby's site devoted to our daughter ...
Miss Mira's or search by her name at kidsepilepsy.com}. The bottom line is we're doing the Trolley Run this year (for the 2nd time! hooray!) and we're running (pushing strollers) in honor of our daughter. The Trolley Run is the biggest fundraiser for the Children's Center for the Visually Impaired. Mira receives therapy (from the most wonderful gal) through CCVI. We just want to give back. Here's a link to the TEAM MIRA page ...

TEAM MIRA 2007

You can read all about our pledge drive and donate if you feel so inclined. Thank you so much. I've also posted a permanent link at the top of the sidebar. Pass it on. Here's a photo of who we're running for ... (isn't she so sweet!?)

Act 2.

I've been promising blog candy (aka LOVE ME) for weeks. I'm sure all two of you out there think I'm a massive FLAKE! I didn't forget, honest. Blame it on mommy-brain. Anyway ... drum roll please .... here it is:

Yes. That is an actual AMUSE stamp in there. It says "have a SUPER day!" Sounds perfect for Superbella doesn't it??? Also the little prego gal from Mike's, a bunch of wire-stemmed paper flowers, a making memories charm frame and 2 (A4 / 3"x5") cards w/ envelopes from Paper Source. Here's a close up ...

I will have that random number generator thing-a-ma-bob pick a number. Leave a comment on this post and I'll pick a number between 1 and however many comments are left here before Sunday at 10pm, CDT. Winner takes all. Good luck.

Act 3.

Now, I have some actual stamping to share. I finished Jen Del Muro's Blogger's Challenge. Here's my card #2: (scroll down to see the first)

I like this card but I'm not sure if I did two cards that are different enough-- which was the point of the challenge. I enjoyed this a lot and it definitely was a fun exercise for me, regardless. Just goes to show I need to get out there and do more challenges.

What can I say about this card? Let's see ... there are stardust stickles in the center of the flower which is on dimensionals. I stamped the "stem" in olive but colored it in with celery. I used the patterned paper (and the 'dream') from the SAB scrap kit. I sponged with olive on both the whisper white and patterned layer and then I sponged the bashful layer with brocade. It's also a 4 1/4" square card. The bling factor on this card got a teensy bit out of hand -- the crystals are Crystals from the Paper Studio.

Thanks for visiting.

She is adorable! I will go check out your links! The card you did for Jen's challenge is spot on...too bad I didn't have this set (of course, it's not a fav [at least not enough to order!]) so I could join in the fun!

I love your Doodle cards. I want to order that set. When I saw the green one, I thought nothing could be prettier that one; then I saw the pink one I saw the other day. that's the one I adore. I like those two swirly things on it.
