{insert wry blog entry title here}

Again with the lame title. So sorry. My rule of thumb is if I find myself over thinking something in my post, trying to be ever so clever, I have to leave it out. If I try too hard, it's not me. So there.
Speaking of trying too hard, the mojo just isn't flowing this week. It's not quite to the turd-jo level as I am still able to end up with something at the end of the night that I am happy with but still I'm struggling. I'm not sure why. I like the card I did tonight but it was really nearly the third or fourth thing I'd tried. Tell me I'm not alone in stamping, coloring, tossing in the trash and starting over again several times before there's even remote satisfaction.
OK, enough moaning and groaning, on with the card ...
I channeled Heather Nichols with the white craft ink on Kraft paper (love that look, sigh!). The colors are Almost Amethyst and Vintage Violet (I'll be sad when this goes buh-bye). I did SSGP on the gray pail and elsewhere on her dress but it's really not enough bling so I'm debating adding something. Not sure what. The sentiment is embossed and all edges are distressed w/ my Heidi Swapp distresser ($0.99 a few years ago through Impress I don't know if they still carry them but it's awesome and it looks like a pink pac-man!) and the two main images are up on dimensionals. I used the amethyst ribbon from SU's Sweet Shop ribbon originals.
Bethtrue left a comment asking what was in my "Auntie's Little Helpers" bag. I'd totally meant to mention that -- doh! -- I put in the following: a box of Hot Tamales candy, a baggie of mini oreos, a mini bottle of ibuprofen, a small toy for her little dude, a Paper Crafts magazine, two handmade cards and a gift certificate to Starbucks ... a few essentials to help get through a weekend with three kids under four.
Saint Auntie, my hero!
