Looooooooove It!

{Does anyone get the DragonTales reference? If you do, I'm so so sorry.}

Here's my new favorite card. I am so terribly pleased with myself, my head is exploding from self-congratulatory smugitude and my arm aches from patting myself on the back. I'm overstating things a bit but, really, haven't we all had those moments where the mojo kicks in at the right time and out comes a totally BA card (project/whatever)???? Enough already ... here it is.

Details ... So Saffron, Choco Chip, Vanilla + Au Choco-rocks paper. As much as I dislike w/c'ing on vanilla, sometimes it can't be avoided. I used my versamarker and colored over her shirt then embossed with iridescent ice EP (drool). I know this is not my totally original idea but it looks so flippin' cool IRL, I nearly PIMP'd (Peed Iin My Pants). Used the skinny swirl-thingy stamp from Doodle This on the saff layer (stamped w/ cocoa) which was also sponged (w/ choco chip ink, as were all layers except the biggest). Then I used the SSGP everywhere, her pants/shoes, the sentiment and dotted the doodle on the saff layer! The sentiment is from the $1 bin at Mike's. I used the key tag punch to make the layer for the sentiment. So easy. I also distressed the sides of the Au Chocolate.
I love how everything is swirly and all goes together. When that happens, I like to think of it as a moment of ZEN, card-wise.
OK, more stamping to come, hopefully.

I really LOVE your bellas! They are beautiful! I've just received about 15 of them and can't wait to get started playing! I did one yesterday that I put on SCS that I liked, but needed some pop. Anyway, I just couldn't resist telling you that I did get the Dragon Tales reference right off the bat!!! It is really sad, isn't it?! Seems we have a lot in common. I love to stamp and do crossword puzzles (hoard the daily ones in the paper)! I also have a 3 year old son, Parker, and 1 year old twin girls, Paige and Mackenzie. I was also reading about Mira's epilepsy, is it? My daughter Paige has something called Sturge Weber Syndrome. It's a venous issue in her brain and as a result she already has glaucoma in her right eye and a port wine stain on the right side of her face. We've been overloaded with trips to the neurologist, opthamologist, and dermatologist (as they are using laser treatments to remove the port wine stain). She is also receiving OT at home services every week. It can be really hectic and crazy can't it?!! I enjoyed reading your blog and seeing your sense of humor throughout your harder times! Keeps me going! This last year has been incredibly hard! Sorry for the long post, just had to share that with you and got a laugh out of the Loooooooove It comment! Keep up with the gorgeous bellas!
