Trifecta!

Three cards for one new challenge!!! The new A*Muse*A*Palooza Blog Design Challenge (#3) is up. Yaw-hoo-eee! Here are my *first* three entries. (You KNOW I'm going to be making some more.)

#1

All images by A Muse.
This one looked better in my head than this. I put crystal effects on the balloons and it looks really shiny and whatnot. Unfortunately, it also makes the white gel pen I used on a couple of the balloons look kind of like "poop" (to quote my 4 year old). Then I had to get out the 'bug and that traffic embossing folder and then this card just ended up OVER. THE. TOP. busy!!! Oh well, I don't totally hate it and I suppose that's something.

#2

All images by A Muse.
This card turned out pretty much exactly as I envisioned it. Yippee. Does anyone else but me "get" this card? I was kind of thinking that the little bird had a crush (thus "happy thoughts") on the duck. I really had to giggle at my own inane sense of humor.

#3

The sentiment is by A Muse and the cupcake is by Lockhart Stamps.
I would rather have used the A Muse cupcake here but someone *AHEM* keeps talking me out of buying it. I don't know what my problem is but I seem to be starting some sort of collection for sweets/cupcake stamps and bird stamps. Huh. Weird. Anyway, tonight this card was my PEE-ACE duh RE-ZISS-tonce (my mother, the french major, is cringing somewhere ...). The patterned paper is from Paper Source (but I bought it a very long time ago). The VELVET Ric Rac is from Basic Grey. I stamped the cupcake paper on the patterned paper, cut it out and embossed with SU iridescent ice EP. Then I used liquid applique for frosting (with a sprinkling of dazz diamonds glitter). I also used a sakura clear glaze pen for the cherry on top but it needs crystal effects. Maybe if I get around to sending this out instead of having it sit on my shelf and just look pretty I'll add it. Tonight I just wanted to scan and post it.

Cause it's late.
Whew.
More tomorrow.

Love what you did with all 3 cards. I did "get" the humor in the Happy Thoughts card! Too cute! The cupcake card is probably my favorite because I love what you did to the "frosting". I wish the glitters would show up better on your scans but I know how that is...GREAT JOB SARAH!
