I was able to spend some quality time in my craft space during daylight hours today. What a novelty. I really wanted to use some images I haven't had the chance to yet ... and try some new stuff. I think, all in all, I came out ahead. Not everything was a success but boy did I have fun playing around. I have some PROJECTS looming and will need to cut back on random, just-for-fun stamping. Anyway, here's the start of what I got accomplished.
Sentiment and small oval by A Muse, Chefabella by Stamping Bella (courtesy of my sis).
This patterned paper is by Scenic Route ... ugh, it hurts so good! ... it has my two impossible to avoid colors for today ... certainly celery and old olive. I covered the turkey with sakura glaze and the platters with silver sparkly gel pen. Everything else is by SU! These "tent cards" are fun. I'd tweak it a little next time but I'd still do it.
Here's the "dud" of the day. The sentiment layout/biz is "just not workin' for me, dawg." But I had to "break the wrist and walk away" so I just called it. Done. And because this whole blog your "art" thing is FUN! dadgummit! I'm posting it, anyway.
All images by A Muse.
I'm really happy with the w/c of the hammock, etc and the daisy doodle as the sun (on so saff with versamark and IIEP). Maybe I'll rip that part off and try again. Hmmm .... not a bad idea. I loved Scoopy's tip about circle punches for clouds (click here to figure out what the heck that means) so I did that behind the palm tree. I used bashful blue chalk there. Everything besides the stamps is by SU! Including the ticket corner punch, which would qualify this as CARD #9 for A Muse challenge 4. (Yeah, can I go a single post without mentioning A Muse or A*Muse*A*Palooza?? No. The answer sorrily is no.)

These are sooo adorable! I absolutely love the colors on the Chefabella card and the coloring on your hammock card is amazing! What marker do you use to do your shadows? It's perfect!
LOVE LOVE the palm tree/hammock card! How cool is that?!
