Happy.

This is what I got accomplished this evening after being sucked into some really really crap reality TV ... and I don't mean American Idol ... something far worse that I'm too ashamed to admit to in public.

I sponged the white layer with caramel, the rose red layer with chocolate chip and the sage layer with cocoa. The ribbon is May Arts from one of Texasjodylynn's shares ... I love using this stuff! The patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket's Jitterbug collection it's called L'il (or is that Li'l??) Susie. I tied the bow then glued it down with a large-ish glue dot and left one tail really long to wrap all the way around the card. I rather like this effect. The sentiment feels unfinished but knowing me I'd probably ruin the card trying to add another word or something bigger. Anyway, I stamped the happy from SU's So Very (does anyone else miss SAB??) with versamark on chocolate chip and tehn embossed with sage EP (from SU's pastel EP stack). Pretty basic. FYI the main image is Javabella from Stamping Bella and the shadow is the large oval from Amuse Art Stamps ... I think I should have a disclaimer saying I use at least one SU, one bella and one amuse stamp on every project. Am I getting into an overly predictable rut?? Oh well ... I do feel a touch special, I found Yvette's blog yesterday and commented on one of her rad cards (visit her SCS gallery here ... it's a MUST) and she commented here!!! I love the Internet!

Oh and don't hate me for enabling but a freind sent me an email saying that Impress Rubber Stamps is having an awesome sale today through April 20th ... 20% off your ENTIRE ORDER!!!! Just type "SALE" in the coupon code and then hit redeem!! Not only do they have darling stamps (like this <-- have it -- and this <-- need it!) but they also have some totally awesome other stuff ... (*cough* Basic grey 6x6 Stella Ruby & Perhaps *cough*). I have shopped with them before online and over the phone and both were great experiences but I don't work for them.

What a wonderful card! I love the clean lines and how you did that fabulous ribbon! And thank you so much for the kind words about my blog and SCS gallery (and the link, too)! I really appreciate it! :D
